About Kathleen

My Approach

Hello! I am a 51 year old NCBTMB board certified massage therapist and ACE certified Health Coach.

For the past ten years, I have been helping clients incorporate manual lymphatic drainage into their self-management protocol for chronic diseases like lymphedema and lipedema.

I also help clients after plastic surgery procedures like facelift. These clients want to look as young as they feel, and after they are healed, they want to feel as young as they look.

A few years ago, I started seeing more and more clients on medications like GLP-1 agonists and metformin, not as a quick fix for weight loss, but as a tool for lengthening health span.

Have you seen these clients too?

Longevity Massage Therapist classes will give you the tools you need to help clients incorporate massage into their longevity medicine protocol.

Why Longevity Massage?

“ In the setting of inflammation, the lymphatic system is critically important, as it is needed to ensure tissue fluid homeostasis by draining the larger amounts of extravasated fluid originating from increasingly leaky, inflammatory blood vessels.”

(Schwager & Detmar, 2019)

“Literature review and pilot data suggest that regular physical activity and manual lymphatic drainage are effective in skin aging (SA) prevention, supporting skin’s structural and functional integrity safely”

(Nowakowska et al., 2025)

“MLD may have a positive effect on selected biochemical parameters, including insulin, 2h-PG, leptin and HOMA-IR, in normal weight and overweight patients”

(Antoniak-Pietrynczak et al., 2023)

FAQ

Why Longevity Medicine?

The  'geroscience hypothesis' suggests that delaying biological aging can postpone the onset of chronic diseases, providing a framework for addressing aging at its root causes.

(Aliberti & Capunzo, 2025)

What is Aging?

“The aging process is characterized by a progressive decline in intrinsic biological functions, driven by mechanisms such as genomic instability, loss of proteostasis, telomere attrition, and epigenetic alterations”

(Aliberti & Capunzo, 2025)

What is Successful Aging?

Successful aging is a framework that exists as an alternative to “usual” aging and comprises 3 factors: the absence or avoidance of disease and/or disability, sustained physical and cognitive health, and maintenance of social engagement”

(Brown et al., 2025)
